The involvement of women in the police continues to be one of the key directions of the police reforms of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In that context, on November 11, Head of the National Security Service, Deputy Chief of Police, Karen Hakobyan, held a working meeting with the female officers of the subordinate units of the Main Department of the Community Police.
The management staff of the departments under the department were also present.
Karen Hakobyan, emphasizing the preservation of the principle of inclusiveness in the system, emphasized the role of female officers, especially in the Community Police.
He highly appreciated the professional abilities of female officers in the fight against crime, their quick response in various situations, effective and responsible approach.
The deputy chief of the police emphasized that the police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will continue to improve the system, promoting the process of filling it with female personnel.
Karen Hakobyan emphasized that the involvement of women in the ranks of police officers has a positive effect on the public perception of the police officer.
During the consultation, a number of issues were also raised, omissions and shortcomings were noted. Specific instructions were given in different directions of the service with the aim of increasing work efficiency and service discipline.
