Iran remains committed to the peace agreement to resolve differences over the Islamic Republic's nuclear program, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh said during a speech at the strategic debate in Abu Dhabi.
"After this aggression (Israel's action against Iran and the US attack on the Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan nuclear facilities) Iran did not withdraw from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty precisely because we intend to reach a peaceful nuclear agreement," the Iranian official said.
According to him, the Iranian authorities will continue to develop their civilian nuclear program, which is a "matter of pride" for the Islamic Republic. At the same time, Khatibzade emphasized, the country is ready to prove to the world that it does not seek to acquire nuclear weapons.
