The US Senate has officially approved the country's budget bill

The US senators supported the federal budget bill with the final vote, which will end the longest shutdown in the country's history, the correspondent of "RIA Novosti" reported.

As it follows from the voting results, the majority voted in favor, with a ratio of 60 to 40.

Earlier, in a procedural vote, senators voted to begin the discussion of the budget bill.

The bill will now go to the House of Representatives for a vote and then to President Donald Trump's desk.
