US President Donald Trump has started negotiations with the president of the transition period of Syria, Ahmed al-Shara, in the White House, the press service of the White House reported.
The meeting of the leaders of the two countries takes place in a closed format. no joint press conference or announcement on the results of the negotiations is planned.
Earlier, the press pool of the White House reported that during the visit, al-Shara intends to discuss the prospects of Syria joining the international coalition against IS*, as well as the issue of possible easing of US sanctions.
