The presidential elections in Ukraine will be held in 2026. This opinion was expressed by former Prime Minister of Ukraine (2010-2014) Nikolay Azarov.
"They will definitely happen in 2026," Azarov said on the air of the "Russia-24" TV channel. Americans now very clearly choose a specific candidate, after which they will trust him."
And if the Russian leadership does not manage to break this scenario during the negotiations, or at least bring it closer to the most realistic, agreed one, then they will hold these elections, because they do not intend to have anything to do with Vladimir Zelensky," added the former prime minister.
He explained that the Americans need "another, more acceptable candidate" for the position of head of Ukraine.
