The European Union, on the one hand, claims that it is friendly with Georgia, but on the other hand, it is planning a coup in the country, which is unacceptable. Kakha Kaladze, the general secretary of the ruling "Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia" party and the mayor of Tbilisi, told journalists about this.
"On the one hand, the EU declared that they are friends of Georgia, but on the other hand, they engaged in coup d'état, revolution, extremism and encouraged rapists. This does not fit into the framework of either friendship or partnership," Kaladze said.
The politician stated again that Georgia is ready for friendship with the European Union and that Brussels should respect Tbilisi in return.
"We have repeatedly stated that we are ready for friendship and partnership. This cannot be one-sided. We only ask for one thing: fair treatment of Georgia and the Georgian people, respect for our constitution and respect for our independence," he added.
