The President of the Council of the European Union, Charles Michel, issued a statement regarding the elections in Georgia, in which it is said:
The CE takes note of the OSCE/ODIHR preliminary assessment of the elections.
Calls on the CEC and other bodies to immediately investigate all violations and allegations related to the elections.

Appeals to the leadership of Georgia to reaffirm its commitment to the European course in accordance with the conclusions of the European Council sessions in June and October. From now on, constructive and inclusive dialogue between all political forces is especially important. In the November session, the European Council will assess the current situation and decide on further steps in relations with Georgia.
