The UAE sent a rescue team and four planes carrying humanitarian aid to help victims of the earthquake in northern Afghanistan, WAM reported, citing the UAE news service.
"A joint rescue team comprising representatives of the Joint Operations Command, the UAE Aid Agency and the UAE Red Crescent has left the UAE for the affected areas to provide emergency aid and support to the disaster victims," WAM reported.
According to the agency, the UAE also organized an emergency airlift to northern Afghanistan, sending four humanitarian aid planes there.
On the night of November 3, an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 occurred at the intersection of Balkh and Samangan provinces in northern Afghanistan.
