Syria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has denied the claims in the publication of Reuters that the United States intends to establish a military presence in the airbase of Damascus, the capital of Syria, Syria TV reports.
"The report of Reuters about the American bases in Syria is not true," said the source of the country's Foreign Ministry.
The source added that at the current stage, "the American position is changing towards direct communication with the central government of Syria, as well as supporting the country's unification efforts, rejecting any call for fragmentation."
