Japan has filed a complaint with North Korea regarding the launch of a ballistic missile

Japan has submitted a complaint through diplomatic channels to the DPRK in connection with the country's earlier launch of a ballistic missile, Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Minoru Kihara said.
"We believe that North Korea may continue provocative actions, such as launching various missiles, satellites and nuclear tests," Kyodo news agency quoted him as saying.

Earlier, Japan's Maritime Safety Agency, which acts as the coast guard, said Pyongyang had fired what it believed to be a ballistic missile. Eight minutes later, it also reported the fall of the missile.

According to Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, the missile fell outside Japan's exclusive economic zone and there were no reports of damage.
According to Japan's Defense Ministry, the missile was launched from North Korea's west coast, headed east, and flew more than 450 km at a maximum altitude of 50 km. This launch was the sixth this year.

The last time North Korea launched a ballistic missile was on October 22. Tokyo has also announced that it has fallen outside of Japan's exclusive economic zone.
