Venezuela's politics, economy and peace are independent from the United States, President of the Bolivarian Republic Nicolás Maduro announced on the Venezolana de Televisión TV channel.
"True democracy is Venezuela's democracy. neither the economy, nor the political life, nor the public life, nor the peace of Venezuela can depend on what the gringos write or say," Maduro said.
While the United States suffers from a superiority complex and dictatorship, the government of the Bolivarian Republic "guarantees peace, prosperity, democracy and freedom in Venezuela," the president emphasized.
The head of state noted that "the economic prosperity and growth of the new Venezuela should not depend on anyone abroad and depends on the intelligence and productive potential of Venezuelans."
