The President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Tokayev has arrived in Washington, his press service reports.
"The head of our state was welcomed by US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau. Tomorrow, Kasim-Jomart Tokaev will hold talks with President Donald Trump, as well as participate in the Central Asia-US summit," the press service Telegram said.
The C5+1 format is a regional diplomatic initiative created in 2015 that brings together the United States and five Central Asian countries.
It is aimed at strengthening political dialogue, developing economic partnership and expanding strategic cooperation between the states of the region and the United States.
