US President Donald Trump believes that the actions of the governor of New York, Katie Hochul, led to a significant increase in energy prices in the northeast of the country.
Washington's chief of staff told Truth Social on Nov. 3 that Hochul is "killing the entire region because energy prices are out of control and expected to triple."
According to the US president, the reason for this is that the governor does not give permission for the construction of a number of new gas pipelines in the state of New York.
"All of Connecticut, including its governor, and New England (which includes Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and Rhode Island) are really angry with him," Trump added.
