Belarus announced its readiness to deploy peacekeepers to Ukraine

Belarusian peacekeepers will be ready to deploy to Ukraine if necessary and if Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko makes a corresponding decision.

Alexey Skobey, head of the international military cooperation and peacekeeping operations department of the command of the special operations forces of the Armed Forces of Belarus, said this in an interview with the STV channel.

"Everything here depends on how the parties make decisions among themselves. We are always ready to help, again, at the request of both parties. In any case, one side or the other, if it wants it to be under the auspices of the United Nations, should apply to this organization and declare that it is necessary to deploy peacekeeping troops in the territory," said Skobey, answering the question whether Belarusian peacekeepers will be able to provide assistance in Ukraine.

According to him, in this case "it will be decided which countries will be them, but all that should be by mutual decision".
