"The video confirms the obvious perjury.
Harutyun Mkrtchyan, the candidate of the "Republic" party in the Vagharshapat extended community, made a post on his "Facebook" page, in which he announced that on November 1, around 4:10 p.m., the brother of the Catholicos, Gevorg Nersisyan, along with his sons allegedly obstructed the pre-election campaign.
Today, the investigative body made a decision to arrest 68-year-old Gevorg Nersisyan and his son, Hambardzum Neroisyan, in order to take them to court for detention.
Nersisyans are accused of committing acts of hooliganism and obstructing propaganda.
In fact, there is not even an incident that resembles a crime.
The incident happened like this. On November 1, around 14:40, Hambarzum was standing in front of the gate of his house, a man approached him and offered to participate in the meeting of the Republic Party at 16:00. Hambardzum refused, the said person tried to convince them, they talked, then Hambardzum's father, Gevorg Nersisyan, approached, the three of them talked and parted peacefully.
This is all on video. You can see for yourself that there is no conflict in the video. This meeting was in front of Nersisyan's house, earlier than the pre-election meeting of the Republic Party.
Dear investigators, I fraternally urge you not to allow the reputation of your institution and the achievements of the years to be destroyed. People should not be arrested with such lies.
