Turkey and Great Britain have signed an agreement to sell 20 European-made Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets to Turkey.
The total value of the transaction was 8 billion sterling ($10.7 billion).
The Reuters news agency notes that the deal includes a comprehensive package of weapons, including the MBDA Meteor surface-to-air missile, an advanced short-range surface-to-air missile and the Brimstone ground attack missile. The delivery of a batch of "Eurofighter Typhoon" fighters to Turkey will begin in 2030.
