In France, five more suspects were arrested in the case of the robbery of the Louvre museum

Five more suspects in the case of the robbery of the Louvre museum were arrested in France, RTL radio reports.

"According to RTL judicial sources, five new suspects have been arrested in the Louvre robbery investigation," the statement said.

The previous evening, they were arrested simultaneously in different places in Paris. The radio station clarified that the stolen jewelry was not found.

On October 19, a noisy robbery took place in the Louvre. Criminals stole nine jewels from the collection of Napoleon and Empress Josephine: crowns, earrings, necklaces and breastplates, which belonged to the queens and empresses of France.

One of the exhibits, the damaged crown of Empress Eugenie de Montijo, was found and returned to the museum. The damage is estimated at 88 million euros.
