In recent years, the United States has taken in too many immigrants, both illegal and legal. This number should be reduced, said US Vice President J.D. Vance.
"Frankly, I think we've allowed, partly because of Biden's immigration crackdown, partly because of bad immigration policy, too many immigrants into the United States," he said in a speech at the University of Mississippi.
"The issue of legal immigration is complicated. We admit nearly one million legal immigrants to the United States each year. "I think it's pretty clear that these immigrants are causing the wages of American citizens to fall," he added. Vance noted that some immigrants can be good for the United States.
