Units of the Kurdish-led coalition "Syrian Democratic Forces" (SDF) opened fire on the positions of the forces of the transitional government located east of Aleppo (360 km from Damascus), according to the statement of the Ministry of Defense of the Arab Republic, which was broadcast on the "Al-Ekhbariya" TV channel.
"The SDF violated the ceasefire and attacked one of our positions near the Tishri dam with a guided missile, killing two soldiers and seriously injuring the third," the text says.
It claims that the Kurds are undermining all previous agreements with the authorities in Damascus. On October 26, government forces clashed with Kurdish militias in eastern Deir ez-Zor province, repulsing their attempts to infiltrate the Mihkan and al-Kishma districts. The skirmish between the two sides lasted for several hours. On October 24, SDF commander Mazlum Abdi announced that the Kurds were successfully negotiating with the transitional government in Damascus to integrate their forces into the Syrian army.
