Two people were killed as a result of a new strike by Israel on the city of Beit Lahia in the north of the Gaza Strip, Al Jazeera reported, citing local sources.
"Two people were killed in the Es-Salatin district, north of Beit Lahia, as a result of Israeli strikes," a source at the Al-Shifa medical complex in Gaza City told Al Jazeera.
Earlier, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson's office reported a precision strike on a target in the Beit Lahia area. The strike is believed to have targeted a weapons depot of Palestinian militants.
