Belarus reacted to Lithuania's decision to close the border

By closing the border, Lithuania has shown its real attitude towards the European values of free movement of people. As TASS reports, this was stated in the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

The press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Ruslan Varankov, noted that Lithuanian politicians are using tactics to escalate tensions, hoping to get benefits from the European Union.

"After the visit of representatives of the European Union and Poland's loud announcements about closing the Belarusian-Polish border, a loan of 43 billion euros was granted to Poland," Varankov said.

In his opinion, Lithuania also wants to benefit from this situation in the same way.

To remind, on October 29, the Prime Minister of Lithuania Inga Ruginene announced that the country's authorities will completely close the automobile border with Belarus for one month.
