They want to ban the activities of three opposition parties in Georgia

Georgia's ruling Georgian Dream party plans to ban the activities of several opposition parties, including the United National Movement founded by former president Mikheil Saakashvili. This is reported by "Sputnik Georgia". The ban may also apply to "Coalition of Changes" and "Strong Georgia-Lelo" parties.

According to the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, the mentioned parties have formed a coalition union and operate as a unified structure.

It was reported earlier that the Parliament of Georgia voted in favor of the initiative, according to which members of banned parties are prohibited from engaging in politics.
