Police are investigating two versions of the theft of jewelry from the Louvre

French law enforcement agencies are considering two main theories regarding the stolen Louvre jewels: either the thieves hid them in a secret location or they were taken abroad, Europe 1 radio reported on Tuesday.

"As for the loot, the police are now considering two main possibilities. The first is the hiding place where the suspects, feeling that they are being searched for, left the jewelry. The second is to transfer the treasure abroad at the customer's request," the radio station reports.

According to CFTC police union spokesman Axel Ronda, law enforcement agencies continue to search for two more suspects in the robbery.

As the radio station notes, the suspects arrested on Saturday evening are still being interrogated, and their detention period has been extended twice. Both are silent.
