Trump has approved the delivery of the first batch of F-35 missiles to the Japanese Air Force

The US will deliver missiles to the F-35 fighter jets of the Japanese Air Force this week, US President Donald Trump said in a speech to the crew of the USS George Washington nuclear-powered aircraft carrier stationed at the Yokosuka Air Base in Kanagawa Prefecture.

"I am happy to announce that I have just approved the first batch of missiles. They are the best in the world. Nobody has them like we do. Everyone wants our missiles. This is the problem. Everyone wants them. But this is the first batch of missiles that will be delivered to the Japan Self-Defense Forces (Japan Armed Forces designation TASS) for the Japanese F-35s. And they will arrive this week, earlier than planned," the head of state said.

He added that he managed to "hug" several bullets. “You saw how some of them arrived with me. I hugged them," said Trump.
