Turkey and Britain will sign an agreement on fighter jets

Turkey and Great Britain may sign an agreement on Monday to supply 40 Eurofighter fighter jets in two batches, a Turkish diplomatic source told RIA Novosti.

"Today, the signing of the agreement to supply Turkey with 40 4.5 generation Eurofighter fighters is expected. The first batch of 20 planes will be delivered directly from the British warehouse, and the second batch of 20 planes will be produced specifically for Turkey," the source of the agency said.

Turkey and Great Britain will sign a number of agreements after Prime Minister Keir Starmer's visit to Ankara. The two leaders will also hold a press conference, a Turkish diplomatic source told RIA Novosti earlier on Monday. Starmer arrived in Turkey at the invitation of President Tayyip Erdogan. The talks are expected to focus on the development of bilateral relations and key regional issues.
