With the support of the Ministry of Education and Culture, the "Songs and Songs" project was implemented within the framework of the 150th anniversary celebrations of Avetik Isahakyan. The ministry informs about it.
As part of the events, the International Jubilee Conference dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Avetik Isahakyan's birth was concluded at Av. Isahakyan Memorial House-Museum in Gyumri, scientific reports were presented, literary discussions, theater readings took place, children's, youth and art platforms were available to the public.
KGMS Minister Zhanna Andreasyan and Deputy Minister Daniel Danielyan toured the museum and followed the course of the conference.
Welcoming the attendees, Zhanna Andreasyan emphasized the fact of being flexible enough when initiating the jubilee year to make famous artists visible in different methods and on different platforms, thus keeping their legacy alive.
"Talking about the important ideas and messages of our elders, the conference gives an opportunity to analyze, discuss, compare and also see relations with our days. I am glad that museums are also becoming environments of live speech, communication and dialogue," said the minister, thanking his colleagues and wishing success to the participants of the conference.
Within the framework of the "Songs and Songs" project, the "Isahakyan in Songs" concert was also held at Gyumri Theater Square. The Gyumri State Orchestra of Folk Instruments gave a performance, which presented compositions written by Isahakyan and developed especially for the orchestra.
The program was implemented by the "I-Link" open platform of ideas educational and cultural non-governmental organization.
