Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia stated during his sermon after the Holy Liturgy that it is impossible to fight against God, and he considers those who do it to be unsuccessful.
"It is impossible to fight against God. And those who fight against God are always losers. The Lord overcomes them, perhaps not immediately, not instantly, so as not to create an illusion of some kind of deception, but gradually, so that it is invisible. God's hand is at work. But it works in such a way that everyone, studying history and carefully observing the life around us, can say: "Lord, You are God," Patriarch Kirill said.
According to him, the presence of believers in the Church, first of all, is to participate in the Holy Liturgy and to be informed of the Holy Counsels of Christ.
"This is the testimony of our faith. It must be accompanied by changes in our lives, because if we testify to Orthodoxy, its beauty, its significance, its historical significance in spiritual and cultural terms, but we ourselves do not testify to what the Church offers, then, of course, our word will be weak. I address these words first of all to the clergy. "Every Orthodox person should testify with his life, word and deed about God's truth, God's power in human weakness," he said.
