Peskov stated that Russia will act in its own interests regarding sanctions

Russia does not act against anyone, but acts for its own benefit, and that is what it will continue to do, stated the press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, speaking about Russia's response to the new sanctions of the European Union.

EU High Commissioner for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaia Callas announced on Thursday that the EU has adopted the 19th package of sanctions against Russia.

"First of all, we do not act against anyone. we will act in our own interest. This is what we will do," he told reporters in response to a question about it.

Russia has repeatedly stated that the country will overcome the pressure of sanctions, which the West began to apply to Russia several years ago and continues to strengthen.
