The president of Moldova nominated businessman Munteanu for the post of prime minister

Moldovan President Maia Sandu has signed a decree nominating Alexandru Munteanu, who runs several companies and is also the president of the French Alliance in Moldova, a cultural and educational center aimed at spreading the French language and culture, as the next prime minister.

"Munteanu is appointed as a candidate for the post of prime minister and is authorized to draw up a program of activities and a list of government members, as well as to present them to the parliament for discussion," says the document published on the president's website.

Earlier, the "Action and Solidarity" party, which was the majority in the parliament and supported the president, announced its support for this candidacy.
