"We want to put it forward when the White House feels that it will be useful for them in terms of bringing Russian President Vladimir Putin to the negotiating table, as well as reaching an agreement to end the war in Ukraine," the influential lawmaker said in response to a question about the document's future.
"Thus, we are ready to act. We are working closely with Senator Lindsey Graham. Lindsay, as you know, is the main author of the bill, it has 85 co-sponsors in the Senate, both Republicans and Democrats," Thune said.
