The White House fears that Netanyahu will derail the Gaza peace accord

The US President Donald Trump's administration fears that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may disrupt the Gaza peace plan proposed by the American leader, The New York Times reports.
Several officials told the publication that there are concerns in the US administration that Netanyahu may cancel the deal.

Washington's current strategy is to use Trump's special envoy Steven Witkoff, US Vice President J.D. A petition by Vance and the US president's son-in-law Jared Kushner to stop the Israeli prime minister from "continuing his full-scale attack on the radical Palestinian movement Hamas."

The publication notes that negotiators from several Arab countries have gathered in Cairo to discuss the cease-fire, which helped mediate the deal. Furthermore, US authorities are working with Turkey to set up a team to search for the bodies of hostages killed in the enclave.
