The Louvre will be closed on Monday

Employees outside the Louvre Museum are informing visitors that the Louvre will be closed all day on Monday, in contrast to previously announced plans, according to which only the part of the exhibition where the theft took place would be closed, the correspondent of "RIA Novosti" reports.

"The management just decided to keep the museum closed. Opening it today would be practically pointless," one of the employees told RIA Novosti.

The employees of the museum took all the people gathered in the courtyard of the museum out of the area that morning, then they told those who approached that the museum was closed. A little confused, the people came out of the gates, which were immediately closed.

Then a statement was posted behind the bars. "The Louvre Museum will be closed today for exceptional reasons. All reservations for today will be refunded. Thank you for your understanding."
