Gevorg Stepanyan, a member of the "Mother Armenia" faction of the Yerevan Council of Elders, wrote on his Facebook page:
"An answer from the residents of the spiritual city of Etchmiadzin in exactly one month. The campaign, arrests and harassment against the church and clergy will receive an appropriate response.
Those who carry out the orders of the foreign enemy and discredit the only Armenian protection institution will not be accepted by any group.
On November 16, the native of Etchmiadzin will reject impiety, impurity and the dictates of the enemy. There is NO DOUBT that the CP will be rejected with all its stars.
