I would like to inform you that Artur Ispiryan, a member of the "Civil Contract" faction of the Yerevan Council of Elders, has terminated his powers in the Yerevan Council of Elders according to his application. Mayor Tigran Avinyan announced this today, May 14, at the meeting of the Yerevan Council of Elders.
The opposition members of the council welcomed that decision with applause.
"I want to thank Mr. Ispiryan, who has been a member of the Yerevan Council of Elders since 2018, for his impeccable service. The application is particularly due to his subsequent absences from the country and his employment," said Tigran Avinyan. The councilor's mandate was given to Christine Vardanyan, the next candidate on the CP party electoral list.
