The liberalization of the EU visa for Armenia is realistic. EU Ambassador:

The liberalization of the EU visa for Armenia is realistic. About thisCivilnetiThe EU Ambassador Vasilis Maragos said in a conversation.

According to the ambassador, after 2019, the EU has not started a dialogue on visa liberalization with another partner from Armenia. "The launch of a visa liberalization dialogue with Armenia was a unique political step. Last year. We started it on September 9, 2024. Over the past five years, when the European Commission has chaired Ursula von der Layen (ed. 2019), we have not started a dialogue with any other partner on the liberalization of actual visa. So it's a significant event.

And we did it because we believe it, because we believe that this is realistic, "Maragos said. The EU ambassador considers the work done so far to achieve visas liberalization.

"We have had any assessment missions when the high representative Kaya Calas was here in June. He announced the completion of the work of the preparation of the visa liberalization action plan. Now this is being discussed with member states, and when this discussion is over, we will soon present the Action Plan to the Armenian public, "Maragos said.

According to the ambassador, it will take at least three years.
