The official visit of Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian to Belarus marks a new stage of the development of relations between the two countries. This was announced by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko during the broad negotiations with his Iranian counterpart.
"Your visit marks a new stage of the development of bilateral relations, strengthening our partnership based on mutual respect and trust.
In the conditions of geopolitical instability, Minsk and Tehran are taking consistent and balanced steps to further develop cooperation and work to turn each new challenge into a new opportunity, "said the President of Belarus.
He reminded that the parties agreed on the Pezeshkian Minsk visit within the framework of the BRICS summit to be held in Kazan in the fall of 2024.
"I would like to express gratitude to our Iranian companions to Belarus for help in receiving the status of this international union." Lukashenko said.
