Tens of thousands of Ukrainian refugees can soon be deported from the United States if they lose their temporary legal humanitarian status, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reports.
In the coming days, about 120,000 Ukrainians who have arrived in the country over the past two years may gradually deprive such legal protection if the White House is not the program approved by the previous US administration under Joe Biden.
They were awarded a two-year extension status, provided that they would find a private American sponsor who will accept them.
