Poland has signed a contract with the United States for the comprehensive modernization of the country's F-16 multifunction fighter jets, Polish Defense Minister Vladislav Kosine-Kamish said on Wednesday.
"We have signed an important agreement to modernize all 48 F-16s serving the country for 20 years," he said.
According to the Minister, the current opportunities of F-16 in C / D version of Poland are not enough to protect the republic.
The renovation will cost $ 3.8 billion and will be carried out at the Bidgoshchi aviation plant.
