The Netherlands welcomes US President Donald Trump to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, said Prime Minister Dick Schoff in the context of the Russian-US summit.
The Kremlin and the White House previously announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Trump will meet in Alaska on August 15.
"Fair and long-lasting peace remains our goal. We welcome President Trump's initiative in this direction, "Schoff wrote on Tuesday.
According to Russian leader's assistant Yuri Ushakov, the US President's Special Representative Steven Wittoff has spoken about the possibility of a trilateral meeting between Putin, Trump and Vladimir Zelensky in the Kremlin, but offering to focus on preparing for the bilateral summit.
