Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze expressed hope that the administration of US President Donald Trump would reconsider his policy towards the republic, as well as the sanctions set by the previous American authorities.
"I think that the current approaches during the previous US administration will be radically reviewed, including the policy of sanctions. This is our assumption, "Kobakhidze told Georgian journalists.
On November 30, 2024, the State Department stated that the United States has suspended the strategic partnership with Georgia.
