UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterresh welcomes the signing of the joint declaration by the United States by the United States and considers it an important milestone in normalization of relations between Baku and Yerevan. This is stated in a statement issued by the head of the World Organization.
"The Secretary General welcomes Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, US President Donald Trump, a comprehensive joint declaration signed on Friday, as an important milestone in normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The Secretary General welcomes President Aliyev and Prime Minister Pashinyan's commitment to continuous dialogue and confidence, and appreciates President Trump's efforts to promote progress on this issue. The Secretary-General reaffirms the UN's strong support for all efforts to achieve long peace in the South Caucasus, "the statement said.
