The EU fully supports the Armenia-Azerbaijan settlement process. Kaya Kalas

The European Union (EU) has made significant progress in the presence of US President Donald Trump in Washington on August 8.

The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaya Calas stated this on behalf of the EU.

"We appreciate the efforts of both parties and the US administration to use the favorable moment and make progress. Now it will be important to ensure the timely implementation of agreed steps, in particular, the signing and ratification of the peace agreement.

After applying today, agreed action is expected to have a positive impact on the common peaceful development of the region and has fully supported the Armenia-Azerbaijan settlement process and has been working with both sides and international partners for years to create long-term peace.

We continue to be ready to fully resolve the partners, providing additional support and consultation, including the practical implementation of the next steps, "the statement said.
