Germany suspends export of weapons Israel

Germany has stopped exporting weapons to Israel, which can be used in the Gaza Strip, said Chancellor Friedrich Merz, responding to Israel's plans to capture the city of Gaza.

This was reported by the BBC.

Message noted that in case of changing this decision, additional notice will be given.

The German Chancellor noted that it is very difficult to understand how the Israeli military plan to help achieve its legal requirements.

"In these circumstances, the German government does not export any of the oil equipment, which can be used in the Gaza Strip," he said.

Germany is one of the largest suppliers of weapons to Israel.

According to the Stockholm International Institute of Peace Research (SIPRI), the United States was the largest supplier of weapons to Israel in 2020-2024, followed by Germany.

On the morning of August 8, the Israeli Cabinet was launched to end the city of Gaza, the following five principles of the war, both dead and the rest of the Gaza Strip, the creation of Israeli security and the creation of an alternative civilian government.
