The summit between the leading countries of Russia and the EU, including France and Germany, must take place after the personal meeting of Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump. This opinion was expressed by the Prime Minister of Hungary Victor Orban, speaking in the plan of "Koshut" radio station.
He called the messages announced by Moscow and Washington on the preparation of the meeting between Putin and Trump.
"I continue to claim that the ceasefire in Ukraine can only be reached if the Presidents of America and Russia will agree," said the Prime Minister.
Orban expressed regret that the EU leadership has left the Ukrainian settlement process, taking its position on the continuation of the conflict. The Prime Minister believes that the EU leaders in Brussels have "less benefits", as negotiating with Washington's imports with Washington.
