In Europe's underground storage (UGS), the level of gas reserves exceeded 70%, according to Gas Infrastructure Europe (Gie).
As of August 5, the average level of reserves was 70.35%.
According to the new demands of the European Commission, the EU countries must ensure that their warehouses will be filled with 90% gas every year from October 1 to November 1. In addition, 10% flexibility is allowed in the case of difficult conditions for the filling of underground gas storage.
At the same time, this requirement gives an additional impetus to the growth of gas prices in the European market. TASS calculations show that in the forthcoming season of UGS charging, net gas should be injured at least 61 billion cubic meters to fit the charging criterion.
This is almost 50% more than a year before the net injection and one of the highest indicators in history.
