One person died in a large fire in the air department in the south of France, and nine wounded, local authorities reported.
"The fire spreads very quickly and has already included an area of 11,100 hectares in 15 communities. According to preliminary data, one person died, two civilians were injured and were in critical condition, as well as seven firefighters, "the department's prefect statement said.

The fire destroyed about 30 cars and absorbed 25 houses. 2500 households are left without electricity. Many roads have been closed.
