US President Donald Trump has said that two American nuclear submarines are closer to Russia, but did not mention their location.
On August 1, Trump wrote on Truth Social that he ordered two American nuclear submarines to "relevant" due to the statements of the Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev. Trump has claimed that Medvedev has made "extremely provocative statements."
"Yes, the submarines are closer to Russia," he told Newsmax. "We always want to be ready, that's why I have sent two nuclear submarines to the region."
Trump added that he wants to "make sure that Medvedev's words are just words and not more."
