The destruction of Aivazovsky's monument in Artsakh has responded to Russia

As we have already reported, the Azeris have been killed in the Occupy Stepanakert Memorial Aivazovsky monument. The Russian media also touched upon the next case of vandalism.

"Readovka" Telegramyan Wave writes that no official comments on the cause of dismantling are still there, but this step, especially considering the date, seems demonstrative.

The channel reminds that the monument was erected in December 2021 within the framework of the "Alley of Russian Glory" project. Its opening was the joint initiative of the Russian community of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, Russian peacekeepers and then the authorities of the republic.

"It is also very likely that this is not only a symbolic removal of someone else's cultural code, but also the arrest of the Azerbaijani Diaspora in the investigation of the killings in Yekaterinburg," the channel writes.

"Gazeta.ru", "Lenta.ru", in turn quotes "Sputnik Armenia", describing Azerbaijan's actions as "one case of the destruction of the Armenian cultural heritage."
