The farewell ceremony of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdolahian, who died as a result of the helicopter crash, began in Tabriz city, in the north-west of the country. This was reported by the IRNA agency.
According to him, several thousand people participate in the march. The vast majority are in mourning clothes. It was mentioned that funerals will take place in other cities of Iran. After Tabriz, the coffins with the bodies of the victims will be sent to Tehran for a general memorial prayer in the capital's mosque. Raisi will be buried in his native city of Mashhad, in the mausoleum of Imam Reza.
