RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan met with Georgian Minister of Culture Tina Rukhadze within the framework of its working visit to Georgia.
Deputy Minister of Edit Minister Alfred Kocharyan and RA Ambassador to Georgia Ashot Smbatyan took part in the meeting.
Expressing gratitude for the invitation, Zhanna Andreasyan highlighted the close friendly cooperation between the two countries, as well as the possibilities of expanding joint programs in the field of culture. The Minister of Education and the Minister of Education and the Cultural events in the two countries also took part in Georgia's Culture Days in Armenia.
Zhanna Andreasyan stressed the importance of reopening Vahan Teryan's house-museum in Gandza village on July 12, emphasizing that joint participation in the opening ceremony will be a stimulus for strengthening Armenia-Georgia cultural ties.
At the end of the meeting, a program was signed between the Ministries of the two countries, in the field of culture 2025-2027. On continuing cooperation. The parties will encourage the exchange of information between the relevant institutions and organizations of the two countries, as well as the cooperation in the fields of literature, theater, cinema, library, publishing, monuments and intangible cultural heritage protection.
Cultural events organized by mutual participation, including music, films, dance and theatrical festivals, competitions and workshops, will be encouraged.
It is planned to consider the possibility of holding days of Armenian culture in Georgia in 2026.
Taking into account the priorities of the countries, the parties will also cooperate within the framework of issues under the jurisdiction of UNESCO and other international organizations, as well as within the framework of the European Union and other programs funded by the Council of Europe.
Within the framework of the visit, Zhanna Andreasyan also visited the National Museum of Georgia.
